    Winter Wahoo Run

    January 30th, 2008

Well, to say the wahoo fishing is good would be an understatement. I have fished the last five days with my worst day  ending with four wahoo..Today finally the weather went as planned and we nailed them. I think we ended the day with ten wahoo before 9:30 am and a side of tuna with that. The fish were hitting just about anything you threw at them, but they were really into the darker colors.  i had three fish over eighty pounds, which is a feat in itself with these speedy fish. This extreme wahoo fishing should continue until march with the bites going wide open before and after each full moon. Stay tuned for more winter time post.

    Guides Day Out

    December 2nd, 2007

Went on a scouting mission before a front came rolling through on Friday  November 30 2007.

We had perfect conditions with cool crisp air and fairly calm seas. Made live bait where I did the week before. Put about 25 or so in the live well and headed south. Put our first fish in the boat around 8:45 am and by ten we were done. Put another double in the boat that Britton and good friend Bill Butler made short work of.

    Lump Fishing

    February 16th, 2007

The weather allowed us to get out a few days last week and boy did we need it. Fished Thursday with Marina owner Bill Butler and we finished up with four, two of which went 130-150lbs. Friday was a decent day with a mix of yellowfin, blackfin and amberjack. Saturday was the roughest day we have fished in while but the results we well worth it. We wound up with four nice yellowfin 60-70lbs. Sunday turned out to be a very nice with a nice mix of fish. Just wanted to give all our readers a little update.

    Winter Fishing In Full Swing

    January 10th, 2007

Sorry for the lack of reports but holidays and fishing have kept me away from the computer. The phones have been ringing off the hook asking if the tuna have showed up, well the answer is they never left. We are still live baiting the big tuna just as we do in the summer except the fish are bigger. We are also having great catches of wahoo on the troll which I have some pictures of. We caught six just the other day and lost at least that many. We have also had great inshore catches of trout and redfish as of lately. So whatever it is you can catch it with outer limit charters.
